Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I go to you when pain medication is cheaper and ultimately does the same thing, takes my pain away...

Although both approaches lead to the same result, I would argue getting adjusted is the better long-term and more cost efficient approach. Unfortunately, pain medication helps your body numb/hide the pain, but the actual cause of your pain is still happening.

For example, if the cause of your pain is due to poor knee joint articulations that causes pain, the medicine helps reduce the pain and inflammation, however, the joint is still poorly articulated. Your body is giving you that pain because it's telling you that you're not okay to use that joint. A good analogy for this is seeing that you car dashboard is telling you that it has engine problems and simply putting a sticker over it to hide problem.

Just like with the car, there are consequences to ignoring the problem with your knee. With time and use, the pain will only increase and you'll probably eventually require surgery. My recommendation is to catch and fix poor joint articulations early before they cause severe damage to your body. With the Activator Methods technique, I go through the analysis of 17 different ways the joints in the knee can misarticulate and adjust in the exact force and vector as described in the most up to date version of the technique text. This goes the same for every region listed in the services section of this website.

I see that maybe chiropractic is a good solution, but it's just way too expensive for me. I know that chiropractors give people some pretty intense treatment plans where they require patients to come in 2-3x a week. There's no way that's financially smart for me.

At Velasquez AMCT Chiropractic we really care for people's health and well-being while making sure we stay affordable. The way we do this is by essentially allowing you to make your own prices. If you google "average chiropractic adjustment cost in California", you'll see that the prices per session are usually around $100-$200. With us, if you're really trying to save money, you can pay as low as $25 (+$10 travel fee) for a session. Say you have pretty severe wrist/hand pain and some very mild neck pain, if you decide to see me once a week, you can do something like wrist adjustment for $25 every week and $50 only once a month for the wrist and neck adjustment. We'll work together to figure out when to reduce your wrist adjustments to 1x every 2 weeks, then 1x a month. The goal is that you eventually won't need me anymore, but don't hesitate to contact me when you need me.

If you're curious to know how this method of charging is finically beneficial to my practice. My hope is that people who can afford it don't hesitate to make their sessions more pricey by involving more areas of care. Along with this, the goal is to be quite brisk with my sessions, so I can help more people.
